Specialized Services use contractors registered with the NICEIC, the electrical industries independent consumer safety body set up to protect users of electricity against the hazards of unsafe and unsound electrical installations.
All electrical work undertaken by us is required to comply with the requirements of the National Electrical Safety Standard BS 7671 (IEE Wiring Regulations) and relevant Codes of Practice and Guidance Documents.
The NICEIC makes random inspections of work undertaken by all its members.
All our Engineers undertake training in the Inspection, Test and Certification of Electrical installations and have obtained City of Guilds certifications including:

Specialized Services can supply and install data cabling and associated power and containment systems from simple relocation to complex design implementation. We can co-ordinate all phases of the installation works from an initial free site survey, providing advice on project planning and costing through to testing and commissioning.
Lighting InstallationsSpecialized Services can design, supply and install from a wide range of lighting systems, both internally and externally, to suit the both the use and aesthetics of your building.
With an increase in the types of control for lighting systems, from single stand alone controllers to sophisticated software driven addressable lighting control systems, we can assist you in assessing and installing the right solution for your premises.
Specialized Services design, supply and install Emergency Lighting to British Standards
BS 5266-1 : 1999, BS5266-7 : 1999 and BS EN 1838 : 1999.
Our solutions include maintained emergency lighting, self-contained emergency luminaire, slave luminaires and standby lighting. We provide self testing intelligent systems which can be automatically tested and results down loaded to a PC network or local panel. This system works particularly well on larger installations and can remove the need for manual testing of systems.
Specialized Services design, supply and install Fire Detection Systems in accordance with the latest requirements of BS5839 : Part 1 : 1988 - Code of Practice for Fire Alarm Systems.
We can provide systems from basic Manual Call Points Detectors and Sounders to fully Addressable Fire Detection systems. Our design team will work closely with you, to ensure that your systems meet with all the requirements of Fire Safety regulations. Careful consideration is given to the type of building in which the system is to be installed and any future expansion plans.
Specialized Services Limited can provide Low Voltage Distribution systems from or including the main incoming transformer which on some of our larger Clients Sites are their property.
Most of our LV Distribution systems involves liasing with local supply authorities and the design, supply and
installation of main LV Switchboards and associated sub-main distribution boards within our Clients premises.
Our works generally require the provision of all associated builder's work details, cable routing and ducts either within the Building or underground.
Specialized Services provide small power installations from UPS systems for IT and Process Control equipment, to general small power distribution, to ensure a reliable power supply.
Mechanical Services and Control WiringSpecialized Services are experienced at providing building management control systems and power wiring associated with heavy plant items such as Chillers, Condensers, Pumps and Air Handling Equipment. We ensure mechanical control equipment and locations are fully co-ordinated into the requirements of the premises. We can ensure the space within restricted plant rooms is used to maximum effect.
